Proposal for Introduction of New POCT Scheme

The implementation of all POCT projects must be authorised by the POCT governance group (PGG) whether the Trust is funding the procurement of a POCT service or is obtaining materials to carry out such activities free of charge, for example as part of a clinical trial or an equipment trial.

For all POCT proposals, please also refer to the policy related to the introduction of new techniques (CP 51 Attachment 2). All POCT procurements must ensure that standardisation of devices is maintained.
