Specimens Taken at Weekends

These specimens should be immersed in a sufficient volume of formalin to facilitate adequate fixation.

The specimen containers must be kept at room temperature and must not be refrigerated.

Specimens should be sent to the laboratory by usual means at the first available opportunity i.e. the following Monday.
