Intro:

Indication: ANCA Vasculitis specifically: Glomerulonephritis (especially rapidly progressive) Pulmonary haemorrhage (especially pulmonary renal syndrome) Cutaneous vasculitis with systemic features Multiple lung nodules Chronic destructive disease of upper airways Long-standing sinusitis or otitis Subglottic tracheal stenoses Mononeuritis multiplex or other peripheral neuropathies Retro-orbital mass Scleritis Further information: NOTE: MPO and PR3 will be performed as a first-line screen for vasculitis. Other conditions may result in false positive ANCA testing either by immunofluorescence or immunoassay methods. For example, infective endocarditis, tuberculosis, inflammatory bowel disease, hepatitis B & C, malignancy.
