Indication: Goodpasture’s syndrome Further information: Anti-glomerular basement membrane antibodies are found in Goodpasture's syndrome and levels correlate with disease activity and often predict clinical outcome. The autoantibody is directed against the NC1 domain of the α- chain of type IV collagen. Approximately 25% of patients presenting with anti GBM antibodies also present with anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies, so parallel testing is recommended.
