Urgent request - must telephone Clinical Chemistry
Methotrexate samples are required to be in Clinical Chemistry by 11am (Monday to Friday) to ensure their arrival at UHB to be analysed is in the afternoon.
If, however, urgent methotrexate analysis is required on a sample collected later than 11am, YOU must: -
1. Contact the Clinical Biochemistry Dept at UHB (0121 371 5985 ) to see if they are able to process it urgently that afternoon.
2. If they are able to process it, then phone the Duty Biochemist (New Cross Hospital), on 01902 307 999 ext 5290, mark it urgent, and hand deliver the sample to Clinical Chemistry who will then arrange a taxi to deliver the sample to UHB.
