Intro:

Paraquat and diquat are two types of highly toxic herbicide. Diquat is less toxic than paraquat, however ingestion of either may lead to multiple organ failure and death. Screening for paraquat/diquat in urine can confirm poisoning, however there is no effective antidote available.
