PREDNISOLONE ABSORPTION/METABOLISM TEST ENSURE PATIENT DOESN'T TAKE MORNING DOSE OF PREDNISOLONE Procedure: •Collect blood for baseline measurement into serum gel tube at approximately 8.30am and label “Pre-Prednisolone – 8.30am” •Administer standardised dose (0.5mg/kg) of Prednisolone, under direct supervision of medical staff, at 8.30 am. •Collect samples of blood into serum gel tube at 9.00am, 10.00am, 11.00am, 12.00noon, ensure time is on tube.
