Intro:

Sulphonylureas are a group of oral medications used in the management of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. They act by stimulating the production of insulin from pancreatic beta cells. Sulphonylureas may be measured to assess for compliance with treatment, or for identifying abuse and investigating unexplained hypoglycaemia.
