Tests and Results

Results and Reporting

Where requests are made electronically via one of the local EPRs, results are sent directly back electronically to the requestor in real time. If you believe there is a delay in a result or there is an unexpected error, please contact the general laboratory enquiry details.

Requesting Tests
For samples received without any specified tests, the sample will be saved for 3 weeks, and the requesting clinician will be asked to contact the laboratory on the initial report.

All test requests must be made via one of the following electronic patient records (EPRs) systems to ensure traceability of requests.

If the test you a requesting is not available on one of the EPRs please contact the Immunology laboratory for support.

For paper requests, where possible the result will be reported back (un-solicited) to the local EPR. On request a paper copy can be issued for your records.

For external users, the arrangements for electronic (PDF) reporting or paper reporting is as per SLA agreement.
